More March

As usual, March was super busy. Lorelai turned 16 on the 3rd. Lorelai is my beautiful girl. She can't take a bad picture if she tried. She is loving and caring. She is friendly, smart, and always there when you need her. I am so honored to be her mom.
Patrick and Imogen had their birthday on the 18th. Patrick turned 46, and Imogen turned 18. Patrick got a new stove. He was very excited. The kitchen has really become his domain, and I am fine with that. Imogen is now offically an adult. I am so proud of her. She is so smart, organized, and driven. She will go far.

Spring break was at home this year. The girls started it off by taking Perry to the Kimball. They all dressed up to go look at the pictures.

They made a trip to the park. They feel they are very bad a**!

Lorelai got her drivers license. Super happy for her and us. Now we have another driver to run errands for us.
Patrick had to stay home to take her, so he took all of our at home learners to lunch that day.

Matilda turned 14 on the 28th. What can I say about Matilda. She is not shy. She has opinions on everything. She is not afraid to tell you what she thinks especially when it comes to music. She is an accomplished trombone player. I am so proud of her.

Lorelai made her a few pictures for her birthday. they are pictures of her favorite singers. They are made from song lyrics. Very cool. That right there shows you Lorelai's heart. She always makes sure that her sisters feel special and loved.

We had a party for a Taylor Swift album complete with custome tee shirts, streamers, and balloons. No I don't know why, but when you have daughters you do crazy things.

Lorelai took Imogen's senior pictures for us at the end of the month. I can't express how impressed I am with her abilities. She did better than most of the professional pictures I saw going around. She is so talented. Imogen looked beautiful in all of them. I loved that she actually gave real smiles for a change. We took them in Grapevine at the vintage railroad yard and a nearby park. Here are just a few of my favorites.

I love how well the girls get along. They are always just deciding to go out together. Here are a few shots from their trip to the lake.

The end of March or maybe it was the beginning of April, I forget, we had teacher appreciation week. My mom's made this poster for my door. It is always a fun week.
Eleanor loves to cook. Here is the cake she made all by herself. It turned out really cute. I heard it tasted good too.
The very end of the month brought annoucement time. Lorelai took some pictures of Matilda for the graduation program add. They turned out adorable.
This is just the front of Imogen's annoucement.

April

April wasn't too exciting until the end of the month. As a surprise for Patrick, I booked us a trip to Florida to see the Stars play in a another city. Last March before everything was shut down, I had done the same thing, but since we didn't get to go, we had airline credits. We used the credits, and spent two days in Tampa. Tampa was alright. There wasn't a ton to do, but we had a great time at the game, and Patrick got to mark off being the "idiot in the wrong jersey" dream. I will say, The Lightening do a much better job of being family friendly than the Stars. There were no half dressed ladies dancing around.

When we got home, Patrick took Eleanor for a Daddy Daughter date. They had pho which he loves.

The very next day, Patrick chaperoned the youth to Longview for youth conference. They went to some place with obsticle courses and stuff over water. Well, being my husband, he didn't sit on the sidelines. He was the first adult to go across the floating pads you ran over. Well, let's just say it didn't go well. He got halfway across, and fell off. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but I guess it hadn't rained much, so there was basically no water underneath. He ended up getting his foot stuck in mud as he was twisting. His foot did not move. It ended up getting turned all the way around. So he was off to the hospital where he would adventually had it turned around, surgery to put in a plate and nine screws, and spent three days in the hospital in a city three hours from home. Lots of fun.

At the end of the month, we were able to attend a farewell for Roark. With the new bond election, the district has decided to get rid of Roark and give the land to the city for a park. So we were able to say goodbye to the place that shaped us as teachers. It was bittersweet. I will be eternally grateful for my years at Roark.
